I love everything about Rocky Ridge!

The activities and outings are fun and there is something for everyone!

The meals are amazing; there are a lot of choices.

The staff are incredibly nice and caring; whoever does the hiring is very good at their job! 😉

I would recommend Rocky Ridge to anyone; you won’t find a better place.

My wife and I have been residents of RRRC since October 01 of this year, I was initially loath to move from our home in Nova Scotia, but pressured by two daughters who do live here they surely won out!

We have both been impressed by the staff and servers who know your names almost immediately, and we would like to congratulate management on their selection of people. As former employers we know how very much important good people are to an operation.

We had the good occasion last Friday, to reserve the Macleod dining room for dinner for visiting family members.

It was a great success due to the professionalism of John, who attended to everyone’s likes ( no dislikes) and all of us felt we had dined in a high class establishment. We were told by our daughters to book the room for December 23rd for dinner, which of course I duly did with Rebecca, another excellent front of house employee.

We had been having problems with the shower, due to the height adjustment not staying in place. I brought it to the attention of Craig in maintenance, who made a temporary repair, and said he would research to see if a more permanent solution could be found. A few days later he came back and replaced the item controlling  the height  adjustment, so that the shower is as good as new. Thank you Craig!!!

“I am very grateful for the staff and management at Rocky Ridge Retirement Community. When I come and visit my mom, I always see the residents smiling and the staff are engaged. The staff have worked and are still working very hard since the pandemic started in March 2020. Everyone in the community is so kind-hearted.

I am also thankful that they have been able to keep Covid-19 out of the building through thorough cleaning, screening and attention to detail with the residents’ health. I am amazed how much freedom they have been able to provide the residents inside the building, providing great activities and thinking outside the box to keep residents mobile. My mom still enjoys the freedom of living in your retirement community.”

I want to express how much I appreciate all of the staff/family at Rocky Ridge. I say staff/family as that is how I feel. Our time with Dad in the last weeks will always be precious and the staff took such good care of Dad and such good care of us as well. I miss Dad so much. I also miss coming to Rocky Ridge a lot. I loved coming to visit and getting to know the staff and other residents. It is a happy place to be.

COVID has been so challenging. The diligence you have all demonstrated is a testament to what a caring and supportive staff you have. It was hard in the first weeks, with no visits, but then the iPad visits helped a lot. The outdoor visits helped even more. When finally we were able to be back inside, I recognized how much I really did miss it. Now, I am oddly missing it again, but with a very thankful heart, full of great memories.

Rocky Ridge, I attest, has the most friendly staff catering to my needs and pleasures in this my new “home”.

From day one, they welcomed me into a congenial atmosphere bursting with warmth and kindness.

Even after a year I am still blown away by the tempting menus prepared by a renowned Chef. His outstanding buffets and delicious meals are served by a delightfully pleasant and caring staff. I have even hosted dinners with my family and friends in the private Dining Room just as I did in my home. I’m enthralled by the frequent special evenings such as the Night in Paradise featuring Caribbean food and steel drums.

My suite is lovely, decorated to my fancy, and so comfortable. Now devoid of all tasks of running a home, I wake in the morning ready to live my life to the fullest. Yes, Rocky Ridge is the place to be.

Things that I particularly like about Rocky Ridge Retirement Community – lights on the elevator buttons, wide corridors, friendly staff, sitting areas, variety of activities, great choice in breakfast food – especially fresh fruit and baking.

I had my doubts about this stage of my life; but here, starting the morning with a dip in the pool, meeting new friends for meals and activities, bus trips around the city and the terrific meals has made me appreciate how lucky I am to have all this at my Rocky Ridge retirement home.
